 Door or window contacts |
Devices installed on corner of window or door. If window or door is opened, alarm will be activated and will sound. |
 Motion detector |
Detects movement of intruders in rooms, hallways and stairs. Some are pet immune and will not detect an animal less than 40lbs., some even 100lbs. |
 Glass-break detector |
Detects breaking of glass, regularly mounted on the ceiling in the middle of the room to protect glass doors or windows. |
 Keypad |
Used to alarm and activate your security system. Regularly installed near main entrance for easy access due to entry/exit delay time. |
 Siren |
Interior or exterior. Sounds off to alert of emergency conditions to anyone nearby. |
 Keyfob |
Wireless device that allows you to arm/disarm system from the palm of your hands. Also comes with panic button in case of emergency that won’t allow you to reach keypad. |
 Wireless equipment |
This equipment is used as an alternative to installing hard-wired equipment. If conditions do not allow hard-wired installation because small or no attic space, than a wireless system is your solution. Example( apartments or two story homes) |
 Radio back-up |
Your system is linked to our monitoring station through the phone line. Most phone lines are typically exposed on the outside of the property in an easily accessible location where the line can be cut. If the line is interrupted by natural causes or by a burglar, the monitoring station will not receive signal, unless a UL approved radio or cellular back-up is installed. If the phone line is interrupted, the radio back-up will send the signal via a wireless network. Battery back-up keeps you connected even if there’s a power outage. |
 Smoke detectors |
When smoke or fire is detected, alarm sounds and monitoring station notifies your local fire department. |
